GDC Sunderbani organizes Inter-Collegiate Poster Making Competition

SUNDERBANI, June 19: To commemorate International Yoga Day 2025, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Sunderbani in collaboration with the Nasha Mukt Committee, organized an Inter-Collegiate Poster Making Competition on Drug Abuse on June 19, 2025, within the college premises. The objective of the competition was to spread awareness among students and the community about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The event witnessed an enthusiastic response, with around 25 students from various institutions participating and presenting thought-provoking and creative posters centered around the theme of drug abuse prevention. After careful evaluation, the following students were declared winners: 1st Position: Radhika Bharti, B.Sc Semester 2nd, SSVS Degree College, Shiv Kashi, 2nd Position: Shivani Sharma, Semester 2nd, GDC Sunderbani, 3rd Position (Joint Winners): Karan Kumar and Shakashi, GDC Sunderbani. The results of the competition were formally announced by Prof. Davinder Kumar, Convener of the Nasha Mukt Committee and Dr. Manjeet Singh Programme Officer of NSS, who also appreciated the creativity, message delivery, and presentation skills of the participants. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the college congratulated the winners and applauded all participants for their active involvement. He emphasized the importance of youth participation in awareness campaigns and highlighted the role of educational institutions in shaping a drug-free society. He also appreciated the joint efforts of the NSS Unit and the Nasha Mukt Committee in organizing such meaningful activities.
