| Historic Gori Mitti Mela Concluded Amid folk Dances , Songs & Fanfare | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 19 : Historic three -day annual mela concluded amid Dogra -culture folk dances, Dogri songs and fanfare at picturesque green lash Gori Mitti situated towards north of Holy Trikuta Hills.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Crime Branch Jammu Benam Tosh was the chief guest on the occasion and DDC member Panchari- Moungri Jasvir Singh , Director Finance Archana Kumari , Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur Kamal Kishore, Principal GHSS Moungri , Principal GHSS Ladda, SHO Panchari Purushottam Sharma, Dr.Mulkh Raj Bhamagi, Captain Pavitra Singh were the special guests of honour.
Tehsildar Moungri Arushi Sabharwal who was the mela officer, accompanied by President mela committee Jagdish Singh, vice- president Sansar Chand Bhagat, Ramesh Singh and Sukhdev, welcomed and thanked the guests and thousands of people who thronged the mela venue .
A large number of artists and student players displayed their talent s on the occasion mesmerizing the huge gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Benam Tosh exhorted the public to firmly stand against and tooth and nail against heroin ( Chitta) in Panchari-Lander- Bhamag areas of district Udhampur. He advised the students to shine in sports & studies equally and becomes IAS, IPS, JKAS, JKPS, Army,BSF,CRPF, JKP officers , dedicated honest leaders and work whole-heartedly towards development.
He invited the tourists to come and enjoy along with families, friends, nears & dears. On the occasion, SSP also awared the common people regarding new criminal laws . |
