Early Times Report
RAMBAN, June 20: To facilitate redressal of pension-related grievances and promoting transparency in the pension disbursal process, the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), J&K, Jammu is organizing a Pension Adalat at the District Headquarters Ramban on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
As per an official communiqué, the Adalat is aimed at addressing and resolving long-pending grievances of pensioners and family pensioners, facilitating early settlement of unsettled cases, and spreading awareness among Pension Sanctioning Authorities (PSAs), Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and other stakeholders regarding pension-related procedures and responsibilities.
All PSAs and DDOs have been directed to thoroughly review pending pension cases, especially those held up due to lack of clarification or information, and come prepared with relevant documents for on-the-spot resolution during the Adalat.
Additionally, the Accountant General office will conduct on-the-spot verification of pension cases of employees retiring within the next six months, ensuring that all required formalities are complete and accurate to avoid future delays.
All Pension Sanctioning Authorities (DDOs/Heads of Offices), pensioners, family pensioners, and concerned employees of the district have been requested to participate in the Pension Adalat.
Employees and officers from adjacent districts are also welcome to attend and avail the opportunity for grievance redressal and clarification of issues.
