JAMMU, June 20: Today on 19th of June, 2025, under the supervision of Sh G.L Sharma, JKPS, SSP (Traffic Rural Jammu) Inspector Kapil Manhas, DTI Kathua along with traffic officials launched a special drive against the traffic violators for stunt driving.
During special drive, 04 motorcycles were seized by Inspector Kapil Manhas DTI Kathua under provision of the MV Act/rules. The drive shall be intensified in coming days to reduce such violations under the MV Act as such dangerous driving proves fatal for the drivers as well as for the common people using the road.
Besides, this special attention is being paid towards the vehicles particularly passenger vehicles which are overloaded, over speed, without valid documents and without fitness.
SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, G.L Sharma, JKPS shall continue the drive to minimize the MV Act violations and reduce the fatalities in accidents. The general public is requested particularity the youth folks to strengthen the hands of the officers of the Traffic Police Rural Jammu, so that the violators are booked under the relevant provisions of the Motor vehicle Act to avoid any outwards vehicular incidents. |
