| Army celebrates Rajouri Day | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 26- The 61st anniversary of the historic Rajouri Day was celebrated by the citizens of Rajouri along with Ace of Spades division and District administration here today. A wreath laying ceremony was held at the Gujjar chowk on April 13 and the traditional mela was held today. The General Officer Commanding, Ace of Spades Division graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The celebrations were resplendent with great pomp and gaiety. Local population who had come in large numbers were mesmerized on witnessing a wide spectrum of events like equestrian, dog show, sky diving, para sailing, Bhangara and Dogri dances etc. Students from various schools of Rajouri presented colourful cultural programs. Equipments and weapons display and the pipe band from Army enthralled the audience. A variety of stalls were established by the Army, district administration and J&K police. At the end of the event, the chief guest gave away prizes to the participants.
