Vishwa Yog Sansthan celebrated the International Day of Yoga

JAMMU, June 21: Vishwa Yog Sansthan celebrated the International Day of Yoga with immense enthusiasm and participation from across Jammu and Kashmir. The event witnessed a large gathering of yoga enthusiasts, including students from various schools such as DPS Jammu and Brahma Rishi Bawra School, Udhampur, along with members of diverse communities like the Gurjar community.
Despite the rains, the spirit of yoga remained undeterred as the participants actively performed the Common Yoga Protocol. The session was guided by Acharya Dr. Rajinder Ji, whose expertise and calm presence inspired all those present.
Er. Gulam Ali Khatana MP Rajya Sabha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, he addressed the participants with hi words that this organization is doing good social work for development of the society, encouraging the youth to embrace yoga for holistic well-being. A special highlight of the event was the captivating performance of the Yoga Shiv Tandav, presented by students of Vishwa Yog Sansthan and Brahma Rishi Bawra School, which left the audience spellbound.

The event was held with the support of several esteemed institutions including the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN), Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Directorate of Education, and Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Amanddeep hospital. Renowned brands Amul and Snow Cap also contributed by providing refreshments to all participants, ensuring their energy remained high throughout the event.

Yog Guru Karan Ji, in his inspiring address, led a solemn pledge on the occasion, vowing to make Jammu a healthier state through the power of yoga and committing to continue his mission until that goal is achieved.
The event not only promoted physical and mental wellness but also brought together communities in a shared spirit of health, harmony, and cultural pride.
