Early Times Report
CHANDIGARH, June 23: Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh- a name synonymous with academic excellence and women empowerment, has introduced a cutting-edge four-year BBA (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) programme in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Designed to meet the evolving needs of the finance sector, the course offers young women a springboard to successful careers in banking, insurance, investment, and beyond. The programme is offered in three streams-BBA (BFSI), BBA (BFSI) Honours, and BBA (BFSI) Honours with Research (subject to Panjab University approval)-with an intake of 50 students. The curriculum balances core subjects like Financial Accounting, Investment Planning, and Consumer Behaviour with interdisciplinary and value-added courses. This structure ensures holistic development while building strong foundations in financial systems, regulations, and emerging trends such as FinTech and digital banking. Beyond traditional roles such as Bank PO, Risk Analyst, or Financial Advisor, the course also opens doors to postgraduate studies and entrepreneurial ventures in financial consulting and wealth management. The college's experienced faculty and focus on skill enhancement ensure that students graduate not only as professionals but as confident, socially responsible leaders. MCM's BBA (BFSI) is more than a degree-it's a launchpad to a future of limitless possibilities. Applications are now open.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma highlighted the transformative nature of the programme: "Our BBA (BFSI) programme is a powerful platform for young women who aspire to lead in the financial world. With a futuristic curriculum and strong industry alignment, the course not only imparts academic knowledge but also equips students with the skills needed to thrive in competitive global markets."
