Early Times Report JAMMU, June 23: In a major push to infrastructure development in the Jammu West Assembly Constituency, MLA Jammu West Sh. Arvind Gupta today inaugurated the long-pending black topping work of the Bhagwati Nagar Road. The project, sanctioned with an estimated cost of Rs 2.43 crore, addresses a critical demand of the local residents that had remained unresolved for over six years. Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta said the project reflects the government's commitment to improving civic infrastructure and ensuring better connectivity in urban and semi-urban pockets. "Bhagwati Nagar Road is a vital link for residents and commuters, and its upgradation was a top priority for us. The commencement of this long-awaited project is a testament to our resolve for focused development," he added. Arvind Gupta further assured that more such development works are in the pipeline and will be taken up in a time-bound manner. "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the pace of development in Jammu is witnessing new momentum. We are committed to ensuring that no lane or locality is left behind," he stated. "The project is expected to be completed in a stipulated time frame with quality standards maintained as per R&B specifications," he added. Residents of the area expressed gratitude to MLA Arvind Gupta for taking personal initiative in getting the project cleared and finally started. Locals shared that the poor condition of the road had been causing difficulties, especially during the monsoon season. Prominent among those who were present included Mandal President Anil Angral, Ex-Corporator Sucha Singh, XEN R&B Atul Gupta, SE Ashwani Kumar, AEE Naveen Kumar, JE Arun, and several senior BJP leaders like Keshav Chopra, Atul Bakshi, Deepak Kumar, Suresh Kumar Pandit, among others. |
