Samba police foils two bovine smuggling attempts, arrests 2 bovine smugglers, rescues 9 bovines | | |  early times report
Samba, June 24: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has successfully foiled two bovines smuggling attempts in the jurisdiction of Police Stations Ghagwal and Samba, arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued nine bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers. The vehicles used in the illegal transportation of bovines were also seized. Police teams of BPP Babber Nallah and PP Rajpura of PS Ghagwal during vehicle checking at Naka Babber Nallah, signaled to stop a Tata mobile bearing registration No. HP73-3144 coming via border road for its checking. The alert cops successfully intercepted the vehicle and arrested the driver of the said vehicle. During checking of the vehicle, four bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. The arrested bovine smuggler identified as Adil Hussain S/o Mohd Veeru R/o Mai Chak Falote tehsil & district Kathua has been arrested. A case FIR No. 67/2025 u/s 223/281 BNS, 11 PCA Act, 3 PDPP Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started. In another bovine smuggling incident, a Police team of Police Post Supwal of PS Samba has intercepted a Tata Mobile load carrier bearing registration No. HP73-0388 at Naka Supwal and rescued five bovines which were being transported illegally without any valid permission. The bovine smuggler identified as Kala Khan S/o Fazal Din R/o Gho Kanpur tehsil & district Pathankot (Punjab) has been arrested. A case FIR No. 167/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
