Early Times Report JAMMU, June 24: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today hailed the unprecedented industrial growth taking place in Jammu and Kashmir, terming it a "direct result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary policies and commitment to inclusive development." Reacting to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha's revelation that Rs 25,000 crore worth of industrial projects are currently under execution and Rs 10,000 crore projects have already been completed, the BJP stated said that such transformative momentum was unthinkable before 2019. "Jammu and Kashmir was long deprived of genuine investment due to Article 370. After its abrogation, the region has seen an industrial revolution with Rs 60,000 crore worth of proposals awaiting clearance - this clearly reflects the faith investors have in the new Jammu and Kashmir," he asserted. Kavinder further said that the launch of major job fairs, proactive single-window clearances, and production-linked incentives are giving youth hope and stability, something that was missing during earlier regimes. "This is the real 'Naya Kashmir' that the Modi government had envisioned - a Kashmir of peace, progress and prosperity. We are seeing the creation of thousands of employment opportunities and the establishment of new industrial corridors that will change the economic landscape forever," he added. The former Deputy Chief Minister lauded the LG administration for working relentlessly in sync with the Centre's agenda and assured full public support in realizing the goal of making J&K a model of development. |
