| Mountaineering Expedition to Mount Kang Yatse I (6400 M), Yatse II (6200 M) | | |

Leh, June 25: Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps flagged off an expedition to Mount Kang Yatse I & II in Zanskar Ranges at Leh on 25 June 2025. Mount Kang Yatse I (6400 m) is a well-known technical peak amongst the avid mountaineers who have undertaken expedition to this peak as a Pre-Mount Everest Expedition. The expedition to these indomitable peaks located in Zanskar Ranges, is aimed to pay homage to the Bravehearts of Kargil War, as part of Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations.
A team of more than 25 Army personnel will be undertaking the expedition. The team has undergone a month long arduous physical and technical training under the guidance of able mountaineering instructors prior to undertaking this expedition.
Fire and Fury Corps is undertaking various mountaineering expeditions in UT of Ladakh to enhance operational efficiency and promote border area tourism. Such expeditions display the resilience and the inner discipline that this extreme adventure activity demands and serve as beacons to other mountaineering enthusiasts.
