Poonch, June 25: As part of its ongoing Project C.A.R.E, a registered non-governmental organization ‘THE – SARA’ extended vital support to Government Primary School, Qazi Mohra, located in the cross-border shelling affected area of Poonch. In a heartwarming initiative, team members of ‘THE – SARA’ led by Raminder Jit Singh distributed school bags and stationery kits to 42 school children, aiming to support their education despite the challenging circumstances. The children, many of whom belong to vulnerable families impacted by shelling, received much-needed educational materials like school bags and stationery kits, to help continue their studies with dignity and hope. In addition, ‘THE – SARA’ also provided an overhead water tank to the school to ensure access to clean water for students and staff — addressing a critical basic need in the school. The school Headmistress Ms. Anju Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude to ‘THE – SARA’ for standing with the children and the community in their time of need. During the program parents of the children and local volunteers from SCHH led by Sh. Kamal Singh were also present. |
