| CCI hails decision on taxes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 27- Ram Sahai, President Chamber of Commerce & Industry has expressed his gratitude and thanks to Finance Minister A.R.Rather and Sudanshu Pandey, Commissioner Secretary Finance Department for issuing SRO 115 and 116 dated 23-04-2009 through which the services provided by the Hotels in the shape of lodging facilities are to be exempted from payment of tax till further orders. Similarly the VAT on Paddy, rice, Wheat, Pulses, Flour, Atta, Maida, Suji and Besan has also been exempted till further orders.
Sahai further extended his gratitude to the Finance Minister and his team for consenting to issue the order with regard to exemption on entertainment tax for Cinema Industry which has also been further extended for which a separate order is in the process.
