| Accountant gets bail | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr-27-- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu BL Bhat granted bail to Subash Chander Raina posted as Accounts Assistant Additional Treasury New-Plot Jammu who was caught red-handed while demanded and accepted Rs 2000 bribe from the complainant.
While allowing the bail application, after hearing Advocate Rahul Pant appearing for the petitioner and CPO for the VOJ, the Special Judge Anti Corruption observed that prima-facie involvement of petitioner in offence u/s 5(2) PC Act 2006 and 161 RPC is made out. The tainted money has reportedly been recovered from person of petitioner who has been arrested on April 22, 2009 and associated with the investigation and further custodial interrogation of the petitioner does not appear to be imperative and allowed the bail application with a direction to the VOJ to release petitioner from custody on furnishing surety and personal bond to the tune of Rs 20,000 with various directions including that accused shall not engage in criminal activity while on bail.
