| Chaman: NC, PDP spoilt children of Congress | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 27- Sharply reacting to the statement of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that PDP’s self rule proposal was floated by the BJP, the former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Prof Chaman Lal Gupta said that the BJP is having a clear cut agenda about Jammu and Kashmir that this state should be brought at par with other parts of the country. ‘Both National Conference and the PDP are the spoiled children of the Congress to whom this party had been using to meet its lust for power’, he added. Addressing party activists here today, Prof Singh pointed out that ‘as far as BJP is concerned we do not find any difference between the National Conference and the PDP as both of them subscribe to the move to distance this state from rest of India to have their own decisions’. He said that it was unfortunate that Congress is having no policy on Kashmir which have been the major cause of trouble and turmoil in this part of the country and their lust for power to stick to the chair by hook or crook was responsible for sufferings of the people and entire country as they have to pay a heavy price fur for the follies of the Congress leadership. Castigating the NC leaders for their reunion with the Congress, the BJP leader recalled that the founder of the National Conference late Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah had been describing the Congressmen as worms of the dirty lanes and Dr. Abdullah is on record having said that the Congress had stabbed them in the back and was now enjoying powers in the lap of same Congress despite the fact that both these parties had contested elections against each other. He maintained that the Congress and NC power sharing arrangement was opportunistic and now making wild statement the leader of these parties were trying to hoodwink the innocent people.
