| Pankaj shines in RCC’s big win | | 3rd Tickoo-Drabu memorial cricket tourney | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 27: Pankaj Sasan, with his superb bowling performance, today helped Rehari Cricket Club (RCC) to a big 97 runs win over Patel Cricket Club (PCC) on way to the semi-finals in the ongoing 3rd Tickoo-Drabu memorial cricket tournament at MA Stadium, here. Pankaj’s match winning spell virtually reduced PCC to a small total of 64 runs in 20.1 overs. Pankaj gave away just one run in 3.1 overs he bowled to claim four wickets. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, RCC set a target of 162 runs for nine wickets in the allotted 30 overs. Ram Dayal was top scorer with 37 runs while Vikrant Taggar and Chetan contributed 36 and 27 runs respectively. Aditya Pratap and Amrit Singh contributed 12 and 10 runs respectively. From PCC, Madan Singh claimed three wickets while Sunny Singh and Balbir Singh shared two each. In reply, PCC bundled out for 64 runs in 20.1 overs with Vishal (21) being the highest scorer. Balbir Singh and Madan Singh contributed 17 and 11 runs respectively. Besides Pankaj Sasan, who turned the match with his four wickets haul, Hardeep Singh and Dilbag Singh also bowled well taking away three wickets each. For his match winning four wickets haul, Pankaj Sasan was declared man of the match. Rajinder Singh and Sadiq Hussain Malik were umpires in today’s match.
