Early Times Report JAMMU, June 28: In a significant development initiative, MLA Bahu Constituency, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, inaugurated the newly constructed lanes and drains in Sector-1 and Sector-2 of Sanjay Nagar, executed at an estimated cost of ?68 lakhs under the supervision of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). This long-awaited project is expected to alleviate the persistent drainage and sanitation issues in the locality, especially during the monsoon season. Addressing the gathering, MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa reiterated his commitment to holistic development, stating, "Infrastructure at the grassroots level is the backbone of urban life. We are committed to ensuring that no colony is left behind when it comes to basic amenities." During the event, MLA Randhawa also conducted an on-site inspection, reviewed the quality of work, and took note of public suggestions for future improvements. He assured the residents that similar projects will soon be undertaken in other areas, especially those that have been neglected in previous years. The inaugural event was attended by officials from the JMC and several prominent local dignitaries, including Ritika (Mandal President), Narinder (Koki), Raj Singh, Happy Sharma, R.K. Saini, Lekh Raj, Sham Sharma, Rocky Sharma, and Pappu Sharma, who appreciated the developmental strides taken under the leadership of the MLA. The residents of Sanjay Nagar expressed deep gratitude for the timely execution of the project and lauded the MLA for his proactive approach and regular engagement with the public. |
