Early Times Report JAMMU, July 4: Kashmiri Sahayak Samiti (KSS) Jammu cerebrated annual Har Navam as birthday of Mata Sharika, a religious deity of Kashmiri Pandits with religious fervor and with high spiritual enthusiasm here today at Mata Sharika Bhawan, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Hundreds of devotes chanting mantras and vedic sholkas throng the sanctum sanctorum of Mata Sharika to worship by performing their ritual traditional Pooja conducted by scholar, B.N.Sadhu who also prayed for peace and prosperity of mankind. Kashmiri traditional bhajans sung by devotee Nari Shaktis of KSS invoking blessings of Mata Sharika, created an emotional atmosphere among displayed Kashmiri Pandit Baradari, who could not visit Hari Parbat in Srinagar city on this auspicious occasion. Dr. Daleep Pandita, General Secretary, while conducting the proceedings explained the religious importance of this day under the historical context of Mata Sharika and thanked all the devotees who attended this function in exile with great spirituality and high enthusiasm. This religious function was graced by the presence of President KSS, Suriender Munshi, who undertook Prashad Pooja terminating this day long function and offered traditional prashad Yellow Rice among the devotees. |
