| HC directs to consider Surinder Kumar for appointment | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 28- Disposing off 11 petitions seeking directions to the respondents for entertaining their diploma course certificates in Cooperative Management and to consider them for selection against the post of Junior Supervisors in the Cooperative Dept, Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today directed the state respondents and the SSRB to declare result of the petitioner Surinder Kumar and take steps for making requisite recommendation to the appointing authority for his appointment against the post of Junior Supervisor Cooperative Department within a period of three months. After hearing Advocates Ashok Sharma and Ch. Vidya Sagar appearing for the petitioners and Advocate SK Shukla appearing for the respondents, the Court held that by interim order dated September 14, 2006, the respondents were directed to entertain the petitioners’ certificates pertaining to the Cooperative Training Course and consider them for selection, if found eligible for the advertised post. On consideration of the petitioner’s cases, the SSRB has found only Surinder Kumar petitioner NO 5 eligible and entitled to selection. Justice Singh further observed that petitioner’s counsels Advocates Ashok Sharma and Ch. Vidya Sagar does not wish to press this petition in so far as it pertains to rest of the ten petitions. This petition shall accordingly stand allowed only in so far as it pertained to petitioner Surinder Kumar, Court held. JNF
