7/5/2025 10:52:08 PM

Early Times Report
NEW DELHI, July 5: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Bhopal, acted promptly and effectively in the incident where unauthorized vehicles were brought onto the platform to drop off passengers, arresting both accused individuals along with their vehicles. This action was carried out under the able leadership and supervision of Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Shri Prashant Yadav.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Saurabh Kataria informed that on 05 July 2025, a video of a four-wheeler dropping a co-passenger at platform number 06 of Bhopal Railway Station was received via social media platform Twitter and the Rail Madad portal. Considering the seriousness of the viral video and the complaint, the RPF immediately initiated an investigation. Upon examining CCTV footage of the station and parking area, it was found that a four-wheeler (registration number MP 04 CC 1317) had indeed entered platform 06 to drop a passenger.
Accordingly, a case was registered on 05.07.2025 under Sections 154 and 147 of the Railway Act. Subsequently, the vehicle owner was identified, and the accused, Ravi Kumar Wadhwani (son of Hemant Das Wadhwani, resident of Bhopal), was arrested, and the vehicle was seized.
Similarly, another incident involving a two-wheeler (Scooty Activa, registration number MP 04 SN 8046) at platform numbers 04/05 was also detected. In this case, a case under Sections 154 and 147 of the Railway Act was registered against the accused, Mohammad Adil (son of Vakil Ahmed, resident of Bhopal), and the two-wheeler was seized. This swift action by the Railway Protection Force demonstrates the Railway Administration's vigilance and commitment towards ensuring the safety of passengers and maintaining the sanctity of station premises.
