| Two tractors seized for illegal mining | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, July 5: Continuing its crackdown on illegal mining activities, Reasi Police today seized two tractors bearing registration numbers JK20A-0048 and JK20A-1558 along with their trolleys, which were found illegally extracting gravel (bajri) from the bed of Pamote Nallah.
The tractors were intercepted red-handed during patrolling and checking in the area. Immediate action was taken, and both vehicles were seized on the spot. The District Mineral Officer (DMO) was informed for further necessary action under law.
The entire operation was conducted under the leadership of SHO P/S Katra Insp. Khyatimaan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Katra Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS and SP and Katra Vipan Chandran-JKPS.
While sharing the details, SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh-JKPS reiterated that District Police Reasi remains committed to curbing illegal mining practices and safeguarding the environment. Strict action will continue against those found violating the mining regulations. |
