Bovine smuggling bid foiled by Doda police | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 6: Continuing its efforts against bovine smuggling, today, a Naka was established at Thanalla by the officials of Police Post Thanalla falling under the jurisdictions of PS Bhaderwah. During naka duty one vehicle bearing registration No JK19-4106 which was coming from thanalla side stopped for checking. During checking of the vehicle 20 bovines were found loaded in the vehicle in mercilessly and without any arrangement of food and water. Driver of the vehicle disclosed his name as Mohd Sahil S/O Irshad Ahmed Wani R/O Seeri Ramban and co-passenger was Naseer Ahmed S/O Hakim Din R/O Kunfar Chaderkot Ramban. These bovines were being transported without any permission from the competent authority. Upon this cognizable has been taken and FIR No 93/2025 U/S 223 BNS 11 PC Act, got registered at PS Bhaderwah. Accused has been arrested and vehicle has also been seized. Investigation of case is going on. The act of Police reflects the efforts to maintain law and order in the region. By taking such actions, the police aim to ensure public safety and prevent potential of law and order in the District. The sources said. SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta JKPS has also warned all such persons to desist from such activities , else stringent action as warranted under law shall be taken against them. |
