Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 6: A monthly of Jammu Kashmir Teachers'Joint Action Committee ( JKTJAC) held at Udhampur today on 06.07.2025 under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by executive and apex body members of JKTJAC from all eleven zones of the district.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Vinod Sharma raised the genuine and burning issues of the teaching fraternity and appealed the Education Minister and Secretary School Education to resolve these issues for the welfare of thousands of teachers.
Raising the burning issue of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme he appealed the Education Minister for implementation of Govt Order No.469 Edu of 2014 as even Hon'ble CAT has given clear cut directions that after regularisation ReTs are equivalent to general line teachers and they can't be differentiated on the basis of mode of their recruitment and they can be transferred within the district.
Raising the genuine and burning issue of Old Pension Scheme in favour of employees appointed on or after 01.01.2010 Mr Sharma appealed the Government to implement it .
Highlighting the genuine issue of release of MDM dues Mr Sharma said that teachers have managed money from their own pockets for smooth functioning of Mid Day Meals but the funds are released only for 3 to 4 months in the year 2024-25 and still 7 to 8 months funds are pending. He appealed the authorities concerned to look into the matter immediately and get released the pending dues under MDM ,otherwise they will be forced to stop Mid Day Meals after summer vacation.
He also appealed Director School Education Jammu for issuance of Regularisation orders of left out ReTs who have completed 5 years ReT period whose files are lying in DSEJ and Conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/ III so that they may get their salaries .
He also demanded DPC of teachers to masters to clear the backlog.
He also urged the Secretary School Education to delegate the DDO powers of headless zones/schools which are pending for last one and half month due to which staff of school education is suffering badly. He urged for making mechanism so that in future the powers be delegated immediately after the zone/School becomes headless.
Meanwhile Mr Vinod Sharma expressed his anguish over the recent harassing order of CEO Rajouri for targeting ReT community for decreasing enrollment in schools without considering other factors . He said that CEO is certifying that except ReTs others can't be responsible for the same which is highly condemned and JKTJAC will not tolerate such harassment and if same is not revoked they will be forced to come on roads and for this CEO Rajouri will be personally responsible.
He also demande Benefit of Cash in Lieu in favour of teaching fraternity;
Conversion of headteachers posts into non plan posts of masters;
Release of time barred arrears of Teachers/masters; Raising Grade of teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs; Earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/ winter vacation for summer/ winter camps and for other duties; Filling up of vacant posts of Headmasters in headless schools,.
He also appealed Hon'ble Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah Sahib to intervene in the matter of release of GP and other retirement dues of the employees which are pending for last more than one year.
Speaking on the occasion Lekh Raj Parihar appealed the Chief Education Officer Udhampur to issue necessary directions to DDOs for the completion of service books of the teachers as in many zones same is pending.
