Early Times Report AKHNOOR, July 6: Senior BJP leader and District Development Council member Pandit Suresh Sharma today visited Juthal Balsaro village in Block Chowki Choura to assess the damage caused by recent heavy rainfall. During his visit, he inspected the affected areas where several houses were damaged and agricultural land was washed away. Highlighting the vulnerability of the area to frequent landslides, Sharma stated that it poses a continuous threat to the lives and properties of the residents. He urged the government to provide 5-marla residential plots at safer locations for the affected families, ensuring their long-term safety and rehabilitation. After meeting with the affected families, he assured them of every possible help and support. He also interacted with local administrative officers on the spot, directing them to make sure that people receive timely relief and do not face any further hardship. Prominent persons present during the visit included Pandit Satpal, Pandit Rampal, Sunil Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Rattan Kumar, Mohan Lal, Chaman Lal, and other local residents. |
