MUMBAI, July 6: A Nigerian national was arrested allegedly with 200 grams of cocaine worth Rs 2 crore from Malad in the northern part of Mumbai, a police official said on Sunday.
He was held by the Worli unit of Anti Narcotics Cell from Marve Road while scouting for customers, the official said.
"He tried to flee but was chased down. A search of his car led to recovery of 200 grams of cocaine worth Rs 2 crore. We have seized his three mobile phones and the car. Further probe into the peddling network is underway," the official said.
The official said an initial probe has found the accused has been staying in India illegally.
He is also involved in previous NDPS cases, the official said.
