Dr. Sanjay Bansal Leads FTII Traders Conclave at SKICC Srinagar

Srinagar, July 6: The FTII Traders Conclave, led by Dr. Sanjay Bansal, National President, Federation of Trade and Industry India (FTII) and Board Member, National Traders Welfare Board (NTWB), was held today at SKICC, Srinagar, marking a significant moment for Jammu & Kashmir’s business community.The theme of the Trader’s Conclave was ‘Vocal For Local’ with the aim of promoting Indian Products.
The event brought together over 300 prominent traders, industrialists, and business leaders from across Jammu, Kashmir, and 10 other states, under a shared vision to strengthen trade, foster partnerships, and promote national-level engagement with the Union Territory.
The conclave was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal ji, who commended the courage and commitment of local entrepreneurs and traders. In his remarks, he assured that the Central Government remains fully dedicated to promoting ease of doing business and economic stability in Jammu & Kashmir. His encouragement and assurance were met with applause and deep appreciation from the audience. He also spoke on ‘Vocal For Local’ .
A special highlight of the event was the presence of Shri Sunil Singhi, Chairman, National Traders Welfare Board, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. A tireless advocate for the business community, Shri Singhi has led over 370 initiatives across India to strengthen trader welfare, policy access, and national trade integration. He praised FTII’s work in J&K and reaffirmed NTWB’s full support in resolving trade issues and unlocking new business opportunities for the region.
Also in attendance Shri Satish Sharma, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, J&K Government and he spoke extensively on trade and industry & he also promised all the business fraternity that he will help in resolving any problems they have; and Shri Vikramjeet Singh, Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce, J&K Government. All the dignitaries expressed strong appreciation for FTII’s role in building a structured, representative voice for the region’s business community.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Sanjay Bansal extended heartfelt thanks to Sh. Niaz A. Shah, Chairman, FTII Kashmir, and Er. Showkat Qayum, President, FTII Kashmir, for their outstanding efforts in organizing the event. He also applauded the entire FTII J&K Chapter for their dedication, coordination, and commitment to serving traders at the grassroots level. The conclave ended on a high note of optimism, unity, and renewed momentum for trade-led growth in Jammu & Kashmir.
