JAMMU, July 9: Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta today underscored the pivotal role of private schools in strengthening the foundation of quality education across Jammu and Kashmir. He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of International Delhi Public School (IDPS), Ghou Manhasan, a modern educational institute equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
Joined by MLA Marh Sh. Surinder Kumar, Mandal President Kushant Prajapati, and the dedicated staff of IDPS, Arvind Gupta lauded the management of the school for their commitment to nurturing young minds through holistic and innovative teaching methods. Terming the opening of such institutions as a positive step toward educational empowerment, he said, "Private schools are playing a constructive role in supporting the government's efforts to uplift education standards. Facilities like IDPS not only offer academic excellence but also focus on overall personality development."
The MLA Arvind Gupta also appealed to the teachers to shoulder their responsibility with sincerity and dedication, stressing that educators are the true nation builders. He urged them to go beyond textbooks and help students cultivate values, discipline, and curiosity. "In today's fast-changing world, a teacher's role is not just to impart knowledge but to inspire, mentor, and guide children toward becoming ethical and empowered citizens," he said, encouraging the teaching fraternity to keep updating their skills and stay connected with modern pedagogical tools.
Following the main event, Arvind Gupta also inaugurated several key facilities within the school, including the Craft Room, Chess Room, Computer Lab, and Scientific Activity Corner, further emphasizing the importance of experiential and skill-based learning. He appreciated the school's initiative to blend traditional learning with modern-day tools and techniques. He added that with proper guidance, infrastructure, and a student-centric approach, such schools can become centers of excellence and help in producing responsible and innovative citizens.
