Early Times Report JAMMU, July 10: Stephens International Public School (SIPS) hosted the esteemed CBSE Cluster XVIII Kabaddi Tournament 2025 with palpable enthusiasm and vigour. The opening ceremony welcomed an array of reputed CBSE schools from Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, with nearly two hundred and fifty participants in attendance. Gracing the occasion were dignitaries of distinction: Ms Anuradha (JKAS), Director General of Youth Services & Sports; Dr Narendra Singh Raina, MLA and National Secretary, BJP; and Mr Chandeep Singh, a former International Paralympic champion. The Trustee Adv Kunal Saini alongwith Principal Dr Manjari Sehgal,Vice Principal Ms Shweta Bakshi, Headmistress Ms Khushboo Shaminotra, Coordinators along with staff and students were also present on the occasion. Trustee Adv Saini formally welcomed the gathering, underscoring the pivotal role of sport in the nurturing of well-rounded individuals, and urging students to internalise the values of sportsmanship. The team captains ceremoniously carried the Mashaal and led the oath-taking, pledging to uphold fairness, integrity, and unity. In her address, Ms Anuradha extolled the virtues of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork, emphasising that kabaddi is not merely a test of physical strength, but also of mental resilience. Dr Manjari Sehgal, Principal of SIPS, expressed sincere gratitude to every contributor whose efforts ensured the event's success. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on July 13, 2025, promising a fitting climax to several days of intense competition. |
