| NC transporting ‘Ikhwanis’ to Anantnag for bogus voting, alleges PDP | | | Early Times report Srinagar, Apr 29 - Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today blamed the National Conference-led Government of having transported Ikhwanis and surrendered militants from various areas of the State to Anantnag for bogus voting. In a statement issued here today, a PDP spokesman said there are reports that scores of Ikhwanis and surrendered militants are being transported by the National Conference from various parts of the Valley and have been spread in different areas of the Anantnag parliamentary constituency. He alleged that these Ikhwanis have been issued fake voter identity cards by the NC to rig the polls. Cautioning the residents of Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam against the designs of NC to rig elections through bogus voting, the spokesman said it is a challenge for the conscious citizens of the area in general and the youth in particular to foil the designs of NC-Ikhwan combine. “We are sure the conscious youth of the area won’t allow anybody to fiddle with their vote,” he said and added the youth of the area would stand like a rock to ail the nefarious designs of the Ikhwanis. The spokesman said NC is desperately trying to employ all the overt and covert manipulative methods to rig the parliamentary polls in the State. He, however, said the people would give them a befitting reply if NC resorts to any such misadventure.
