PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijali Yojna a big relief for the poor and middle class: Balbir
7/12/2025 10:15:48 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 12: BJP spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan said that the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijali Yojna (PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme) , launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has brought significant relief to poor and middle-class families. He stated that this scheme will not only reduce the burden of electricity bills on people but will also help them become self-reliant. He was discussing this scheme with some workers of the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha, where he explained in detail how this scheme is beneficial for every household.
Balbir Ram Rattan informed that under this scheme, the government is providing subsidies and financial assistance for installing solar panels on rooftops. Through this, poor and middle-class families, who currently pay hefty electricity bills every month, will now not only enjoy free electricity but can also earn income by selling surplus power.
He said that this scheme will ease the financial burden on people and increase their savings. Today, an average family spends about Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per month on electricity, which can now be completely saved. The beneficiaries can also earn thousands of rupees annually through surplus electricity generation.
Balbir further pointed out that this scheme is also extremely important from an environmental perspective. Installing solar panels on rooftops will reduce dependence on coal-generated electricity and help lower pollution levels. This initiative will promote the use of clean energy and is a major step toward realizing the Prime Minister's dream of "Solar in Every Home, Light in Every Home."
The BJP spokesperson appealed to people to take benefit of this scheme. He said that this initiative will prove to be a milestone in improving the standard of living of the poor and middle class, making the energy sector self-reliant, and bringing clean energy to every home.
