| Rs 44 lakh goods traded via LoC | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, April 29: Adding flavor to the cross-LoC trade, goods, mostly spices, worth over Rs 44 lakh were exchanged in the Poonch-Rawalakote weekly trade between Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), here on Tuesday.
About 20 vehicles, including light motor vehicles, loaded with spices and onions crossed to the other side Line of Control, while about ten trucks from the other side were were dispatched to this side of border throughout the day today, official sources said.
They said that goods worth more than Rs 44 lakh were exchanged across the border. Earlier, goods worth Rs 1.63 crores were exchanged, earlier this month.
As per the official figures, the traders from both sides of border today exchanged spices and onions.
Shahid Masood of PoK has dispatched 8000 Kg Garlic worth Rs 3 lakh for Subhas Traiding Jammu, Mehmood Muhammad Dar of Muzaffarabad has dispatched Ginger weighing 1807 Kgs worth Rs 326400, Garlic 5600 kgs worth Rs 168000, Dal Mungi 2500 Kgs worth Rs 7.50 lakh, Garlic 20000 kgs worth Rs 6 lakh for Sheraz Ahmed of Kulgam.
From Indian side, most of the tranders have send their goods to one Datta Trading Agencies, Muzaffarabad. The goods include Dry Methi weighing 2010 kg worth Rs 73578 (Arshad Mahmood), Dry Dhanya weighing 2945 kgs worth Rs 163738 (Tandan traders), Dry Dhanya weighing 1472 kgs worth Rs 83119 (Anish Trading), Dry Dhanya 4417 kgs worth Rs 244350 (Naresh Trading) Onion 27500 kgs worth Rs 330000 and Lemon 350 kgs worth Rs 8500 (Sheraz Khan), Onion 22932 kgs worth Rs 246190 (Rampal), Onion weighing 36088 Kgs worth Rs 387186 (Sangrama Agencies) and Rugs 98 pieces worth Rs 14220 (Haji Ghulam Mehmood)
The officials of Jammu and Kashmir and PoK supervised the LoC-trade exchange at Chakan-Da-Bagh.
