Prime Minister launches the 16th phase of Rozgar Mela for giving 51 thousand jobs in Central Govt Departments

Kapurthala, July 13: The Sixteenth phase of the recruitment drive "Rozgar Mela" for 51 thousand jobs of Central Govt. was held today through video conferencing in 47 centres located across the country by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. During the function, appointment letters were handed over to 51,000 newly recruited persons. On this occasion, Prime Minister also addressed these newly appointed persons through virtual mode and urged the newly appointed Govt. employees to serve with the spirit of utmost devotion.
Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of Prime Minister’s commitment to accord highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela will play a significant role in providing meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in nation building.
In Punjab, this mega event was organized at Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala. In which Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Sh.Krishan Pal gave appointment letters to the 64 newly recruited people from Punjab and adjoining areas. 23 new appointments have been given in Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala . Sh. S S Mishra , GM RCF , top officials of Govt. Departments were also present on the occasion. Hon'ble Minister Shri Krishan Pal on this occasion said that the Prime Minister has always emphasized on employment generation, innovation and leveraging technology and through these Rozgar Melas, the recruitment drive to provide more than 51,000 jobs across the country has commenced again from today.
These newly appointed people have been given appointment in RCF, Department of Posts, Department of Financial Services and other Govt. departments.
There was great enthusiasm in the newly appointed young persons gathered in RCF Kapurthala who were seen clicking selfies and giving interviews. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and Govt. of India for getting the appointment and resolved to work with utmost devotion.
