850+ LPU students secured global opportunities across 80+ countries

Early Times Report
JALANDHAR, July 14: Living up to its commitment to global academic excellence, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has emerged as a powerful platform for Indian students aspiring to study abroad. More than 850+ LPU students have successfully secured opportunities to study, research, and engage at leading institutions across 80+ countries. This global outreach is supported by the university's extensive collaborations with 530+ top universities worldwide, including institutions in the USA, UK, Brazil, Columbia, Spain, Canada, Australia, France, South Korea, and Poland.
These global mobilities span prestigious summer school programs, international research and student exchange opportunities, as well as full-fledged credit transfer programs at globally reputed institutions. To support these international pursuits, students received Rs 10.23 crore in global scholarships, making cross-border education more accessible.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, remarked, "Internationalization at LPU is driven by long-term academic vision and strategic partnerships. The goal has always been to position students on a global platform through meaningful, outcome-oriented opportunities. With consistent investment in global linkages and academic mobility, LPU is not just enabling access but building a model where international exposure becomes an integral part of mainstream education in India."
With more students now actively seeking global exposure, many struggle due to the lack of proper guidance outside. LPU bridges this gap through its Division of International Affairs, offering a dedicated platform that helps students identify the right opportunities, manage applications, and navigate international pathways with clarity and confidence while making informed choices with ease.
Fuelling this global momentum is a distinguished faculty ecosystem that includes over 200 international faculty members from 50+ countries and an additional 1,000+ visiting International community, who actively contribute to cross-cultural academic dialogue on campus. LPU has also emerged as a hub for research excellence, co-supervising various Ph.D. scholars in collaboration with experts from the UK, Malaysia, Australia, Russia, and other countries, creating a robust cross-border academic mentorship model.
Sharing LPU's vision for internationalization, Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice President of LPU, said, "Global exposure is not a luxury; it is a necessity for the modern learner. At LPU, our global partnerships are deeply woven into the academic journey of our students. Among the many pathways available, the credit transfer program is best suited for students to begin their education at LPU and later transition seamlessly to top international institutions. It offers the flexibility to stay on course even amidst visa delays or uncertainties, ensuring that their global ambitions remain uninterrupted."
On the inbound front, LPU has welcomed over 500+ international students through academic exchanges and short-term programs, with learners arriving from nations such as France, Indonesia, Russia, and the USA, further strengthening its role as a two-way hub of international education.
In recognition of its global leadership, LPU has also secured Erasmus funding worth €3 million Euros, aimed at advancing joint research, curriculum development, and faculty-student mobility with leading institutions across Europe. By creating opportunities that transcend borders, LPU continues to redefine the future of Indian higher education where global exposure becomes not the exception, but the norm.
