BLSKS observes “World Youth Skills Day 2025”

Jammu, July 15: To observes the 10th Anniversary of ‘World Youth Skills Day’ & to promote the Traditional Cultuyre art of Jammu & Kashmir & Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with Ministry of Culture , Govt of India & Sangam Tru Art Production presented Dogri Musical Play “ ROZGAR THONA SABHE AYEE GAI SCHEME JI ” at Durga Bhawan , Janipur Jammu. The Program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sh.V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India Government. Among the Guest of Honor present were Dr.Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director , Health Department J&K , Mukesh Singh, Media Person Jammu. The songs were written, & produced by Dr.M.L.Dogra Chairman (BLSKS). The programe was commenced with songs “ Mare tare Loke de Khulege naseeb Ji ”, “ Ae Desh Ke Dularo” , “ Duggar Desh de vasiyo” , “Berozgari meetao navi, takneek apnao ”, “Oh Jija kiya jana Udhampura”, “Salira Dhara”. The music of the songs was composed by renowned singer Sh. Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor BLSKS & songs sung by artists of BLSKS and all students of the institute.
The Chief Guest said, World Youth Skills Day, observed annually on July 15th , highlights the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship. , it recognizes that skills are crucial for young people to thrive in a rapidly changing world and contribute to sustainable and inclusive societies.
The day encourages dialogue and collaboration among educators, governments, employers, and youth organizations to promote skill-based learning and investment in training programs.
The chief guest also highlighted the importance of "World Youth Skills Day in India goes beyond generic skill development. Events and programs organized by the government, educational institutions, and NGOs specifically target skills relevant to the Indian job market and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
This might include workshops on digital literacy, vocational training in booming sectors like IT or renewable energy, or skill development programs tailored for India’s vast informal economy. Skill Development Fairs: These fairs bring together training providers, industry representatives, and young people. They offer valuable information on available skill development programs, career opportunities, and government initiatives." The songs were recorded and uploaded on social media for benefit of General Public.
Welcome address of Dr.M.L.Dogra, said the main aim of the programs is to promotion of traditional folk culture of the J&K, The significance of World Youth Skills Day lies in its focus on empowering young people through skill development. In a world characterized by technological advancements and global shifts, equipping young people with the right skills is more critical than ever. This includes both technical and vocational skills, as well as essential soft skills like communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving. These skills enable young people to adapt to new industries, pursue entrepreneurship, and actively contribute to economic growth and social progress. The day encourages governments, businesses, and other stakeholders to invest in educational and training programs. By doing so, they can help young people acquire the skills necessary for the jobs of the future. The theme for 2025 World Youth Skills Day is "Youth empowerment through AI and digital skills".
This year's theme focuses on Youth empowerment through AI and digital skills. To generate awareness about the life and message of Swami Vivekananda to inspire and motivate youth into participate in nation building. To involve youth in various activities and to promote spirit of service and volunteerism.
The singers ,musician ,actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the programe were Usha Raina,, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Bindia Okheda ,Zulekha Bano , Chahat Chadha and many others presented the enthralled performance at last of the programe Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program..
