Jammu, April 30, : Finding solution to the continuous woes of patients attendants visiting SMGS hospital premises the hospital authorities on Thursday placed women police at the entry and exit gates to ease tension and facilitate easy access for the attendants.
Only few days ago the private security guards went on indefinite strike in SMGS hospital following clashes between the policemen and private securiy guards over the issuse of preventing entry and causing inconvenience to patients attendants.
Interacting with the media the senior hospital authorities on Thursday said, after looking int o series of complaints lodged by patients attnednants from time to time we decided to forward a proposal to the health deaprtment seeking their approval for deployment of women police to regulate movement of visitors during visiting hours in the busy hospital premises.
By and large the local visitors appeared satisfied with the new arrangement and expressed hope that with the deployment of women police the hospital authorities are breathing easy and concentrating on better management of the patient care facilITIES
