BJP misleading people of J&K and country on Omar Govt’s performance: Surinder Choudhary
7/15/2025 9:45:45 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 15: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary has strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly misleading the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country regarding the performance of the present government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking at the joining programme organized by Sardar Tejinder Pal Singh Aman Provincial President YNC Jammu held at the Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu in which dozens of Youths impressed by the policies and programmes of present dispensation have joined the Party fold.
The Deputy Chief Minister lauded the achievements of the government during its eight months in office. He said that several poll promises made with people during the Assembly polls have fulfilled by the present dispensation in just 8 months of governance. He said that the administration under CM Omar Abdullah has brought transparency, accountability, and a much-needed sense of direction to the governance in the Union Territory.
“The BJP is unable to digest the swift and efficient governance model demonstrated by the Omar Abdullah-led dispensation. The people of J&K are witnessing the difference between hollow slogans and real work on the ground,” Choudhary said.
Highlighting the vision of the NC Govt, the Deputy CM said that the recently announced Mission Yuva by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will open new avenues for skill development, entrepreneurship, and empowerment of youth, especially daughters of J&K. He said under Mission Yuva scheme nearly 1.5 lakh start-up would be established which will create nearly 4.5 lakhs for youth in Jammu and Kashmir. “Only National Conference can translate the aspirations of the J&K youth into reality,” he said
The Deputy Chief Minister asked the newly joined members to spread awareness about the positive transformation brought by the Omar Abdullah-led government, and to actively participate in strengthening the base of the Party and accountability and good governance at the grassroots level.
On the occasion, Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta also addressed the gathering and launched a scathing attack on the previous LG-led administration for its misrule in J&K. He claimed that various recruitment scams, fund embezzlements, and administrative irregularities that surfaced during the past 11 years have been effectively curbed under the present leadership.
