Traffic Police Jammu issues final warning to vehicle wwners with Pending Challans | | | early time report
Jammu, July 16: The Traffic Police Office Jammu has once again issued a public notice urging all vehicle owners with multiple pending challans to clear their dues within 15 days, failing which their vehicles will be impounded under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act. According to the notice, a large number of vehicles operating in District Jammu have been identified with several traffic violations, and challans against them remain unpaid. A prior public notice (No: TPOJ/Press Release/2025/12311-14 dated 24.04.2025) had given violators a 15-day period to make payments either online or by appearing before the Special Mobile Magistrate Traffic, Jammu. However, compliance has remained poor. The notice states that most violators have neither paid their fines through online platforms nor appeared before the court for the disposal of challans. As a final reminder, the general public and violators are advised to immediately visit the official web portals https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in and https://vcourts.gov.in to check and pay any dues. The Traffic Police has clearly warned that if fines are not paid within 15 days from the publication date of the current notice, the department will take strict action, including the impounding of the concerned vehicles. The public is urged to treat this matter seriously and ensure timely compliance to avoid legal complications.
