7/16/2025 7:50:56 PM

early times report

Jammu, July 16: Gobind Nagar, Ward No. 58 witnessed a visit from Parvinder Singh Happy yesterday, as he interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns regarding various civic issues affecting the area. During his visit, the residents brought several important matters to his attention, including inadequate water pressure, non-functional street lights, and challenges in garbage collection.
The issue of low water pressure during distribution hours was raised prominently, with residents urging immediate technical inspection and rectification. They also expressed concern over poor street lighting, stating that many lights stop functioning after 8 PM, leading to unsafe conditions during nighttime movement. In addition, the absence of a dedicated JMC garbage van has led to the accumulation of waste and dry litter, while a specific dump in the area is causing an unbearable foul smell, demanding urgent clearance.
Parvinder Singh Happy assured the residents that these problems would be taken up with the concerned departments and resolved in a timely manner. He reiterated his commitment to improving civic infrastructure and services in the mohalla and promised continued engagement with the community to monitor progress.
Residents appreciated his proactive approach and praised his consistent efforts in addressing local issues. They extended their support and gratitude for his dedication to public welfare.
In his address, Parvinder Singh Happy appealed to residents to cooperate in maintaining civic services by ensuring timely payment of the JMC garbage collection fee, as well as regular settlement of electricity and water bills to avoid disruptions in service.
He also announced plans to organize a Social Welfare Camp in Ward No. 58 in the coming days. The camp will provide assistance for widow pension applications, disability and handicapped pension schemes, senior citizen pensions, and other government-sponsored social welfare programs.
The visit concluded with residents thanking Parvinder Singh Happy for his steadfast efforts in improving the quality of life in Ward No. 58 and for his commitment to addressing their concerns with urgency and sincerity.
