Model Academy organizes week-long Capacity Building Programme for teachers

JAMMU, July 17: Model Academy School successfully concluded a week-long Capacity Building Programme for its faculty from July 3 to July 14, 2025. The initiative, aimed at enhancing teaching effectiveness and professional growth, featured a series of interactive sessions conducted by seasoned educators and experts.
The programme began with a session on Effective Communicative Skills by Mrs. Maneka Khanna, Academic Manager (Primary Wing), who emphasized clarity, active listening, and empathetic engagement through activities like Chinese Whisper, Emotion Charades, and Barrier Games.
Principal Pramod Kumar Srivastava led an insightful workshop on Active Learning, highlighting techniques such as think-pair-share, jigsaw tasks, simulations, and the use of multimedia tools to boost classroom participation and learner engagement.
A session on Effective Pedagogies and Outcome-Based Education by vice-principal, Mr. J.K. Dhiman focused on aligning teaching strategies with student learning needs and modern educational outcomes.
A comprehensive two-day workshop on the School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAAF) was conducted by Academic Managers, Dr. Pooja Mishra, Mr. Prince Sharma, and Mrs. Manju Vali offering domain-wise insights for quality improvement and implementation.
Rupa Gupta, Joint Director, MIER, conducted a powerful session on Empowered Leadership for Impactful Learning, equipping educators with dynamic leadership strategies to foster enriched learning environments.
An advanced workshop on Use of AI and IT Tools for Question Paper Framing was led by Dr. Moolraj Sharma, Professor and Head, Centre for Educational Technology, MIER College. The session introduced educators to generative AI tools for enhanced assessment practices.
Additionally, a two-day training on Tata Edge Smart Class was facilitated by Mahesh Sharma, Area Academic Trainer, focusing on digital integration and tech-enabled teaching approaches.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Director, appreciated the school's initiative in organizing such comprehensive and insightful sessions on diverse educational themes. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Divya Rathore, In-charge Trainings, who ensured its smooth execution. The sessions received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from faculty, reaffirming the school's strong commitment to continuous professional development.
