Jammu, Apr 30- Reiterating the stand of the Peoples Democratic Party to fulfill wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society, party candidates for Srinagar-Budgam and Baramulla-Kupwara Lok Sabha seats Mulvi Iftikar Hussain Ansari and Mohammad Dilawar Mir today said that PDP is committed to create conducive atmosphere for the return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to their native places. Addressing a meeting of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits at Jammu to seek support of the community for PDP in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Ansari said that without Kashmiri Pandits Kashmir is incomplete and their return is must to restore the age old traditions and culture. "We are very much aware that for the last 18 years displaced community has been facing lot of hardship due to their displacement from their homes and hearths", he pointed and hoped that days are not far when Kashmiri Pandits would return to their native places. While seeking support of the Kashmiri Pandits for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Ansari said that it was need of the hour to strengthen PDP which is committed to restore peace in the State. Former Minister Dilawar Mir in his address reminded the displaced Kashmiri Pandits that when he was a Minister in the coalition regime he initiated many steps to solve problems of people living in camps. He further pointed out that during the last 18 years he has been in touch with the displaced Kashmiri Pandits. During the meeting leader of the migrant wing of the PDP highlighted problems being faced by the displaced community and asked the party leadership to take up problems of the community at appropriate platform. Migrants demanded enhancement of cash relief to Rs 10000 per family, comprehensive job package for the displaced community, protection of the religious places of Kashmiri Pandits, medical facilities for pensioners, package for non camp dwellers etc. They also stressed on the need of starting dialogue between Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmiri Pandits. Both Ansari and Dilawar Mir assured the members of the displaced community that they would solve their problems. They further said that if elected they would take up problems of the Kashmiri Pandits in the Lok Sabha. The meeting was organized by the migrant cell of the party in which Kashmiri Pandits leaders namely Romesh Koul, Ashok Siddha, Ashok Bhat and Rajinder Koul also spoke.
