Inter-Nursing College Poster Competition held

JAMMU, July 18: Continuing it's awareness activities in the Organ Donation month of July 2025, Jammu and Kashmir State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) organized today a Poster Making Competition on the second day of its campaign "Angdaan-Jeevan Sanjeevani Abhiyan" at Super Specialty Hospital Jammu.
Two students each from Bee Enn College of Nursing Chak Bhalwal, Stephen's College of Nursing, Miran Sahib, Government Nursing College Gangyal, IPHH College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Kot Bhalwal, Bee Enn Nursing Institute Chak Bhalwal and Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing Chak Bhalwal with a total of 12 students participated in the competition.
Students showed their creativity in Poster making depicting message of organ donation.
Dr Sanjeev Puri, Joint Director SOTTO J&K explained how organ and tissue donation occurs from a brain dead person with healthy organs in ICU of a hospital where family is approached by hospital staff for donation. He also motivated the students to pledge for organ donation for the noble cause of humanity.
Government Nursing College Gangyal secured first position with students, namely Sumaira Manzoor and Tamana Mushtaq; Stephens College of Nursing Miran Sahib secured second position with student namely Harpreet Singh, and Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing Chak Bhalwal secured third position in the competition with students namely Komal Rani and Damini Sharma
Judges for the event were Dr Sanjeev Puri, Joint Director SOTTO J&K, Dr. Sanjogita Soodan, Dy. MS , SSH and Jyoti Rokri, AAO SSH Jammu.
Event was coordinated by Anshu Sharma, Consultant (Media/IEC), Irfan Ahmad Lone, Transplant Coordinator, Nisha Kumari Programme Assistant, Ashwani Kumar and Ashok Singh (Drivers).
