Janipur police nabs drug peddler wit 5 grams of heroin substance

JAMMU, July 18: In a significant breakthrough, PSI Rahul Kumar, along with Head Constable Zaheer Hussain Shah and Selection Grade Constable Yogesh Kumar, has apprehended a notorious drug peddler, Jai Pratap Singh, son of Late Nishant Singh, resident of Paloura near Dispensary.
During a routine checking operation near Paloura Talab, the police team signaled a scooty to stop, but the rider attempted to flee the scene. However, the proactive police party swiftly apprehended the accused and recovered 5 grams of heroin substance from his possession.
An FIR No. 104/2025 under relevant sections of NDPS Act, has been registered at Police Station Janipur, and investigation is underway.
The public has lauded the efforts of the Janipur Police in cracking down on drug peddlers who are responsible for causing overdose deaths of innocent youth in the Jammu region.
