JU holds Lecture on topic "Various Approaches of Teaching Practice"

JAMMU, July 19: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Jammu organized today a Guest Lecture on the topic "Various Approaches of Teaching Practice "(Herbartian, RCEM, and Constructivism) in the Hall '1' of CDOE.
The programme started with the welcome address by Dr Anuradha Goswami (Co-ordinator M.A Education program), who introduced Resource person Dr. Madhu Singh (former Principal Khalsa College of Education). The session was designed to equip Students of M.A Education with useful knowledge and skills to effectively undertake teaching practice and prepare appropriate lesson planning.
Dr. Madhu Singh shared valuable insights on how various approaches to lesson planning act as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical Teaching experience. The lecture provided a detailed about Herbartian, RCEM and Constructivism approach and its importance in laying a strong foundation for enhancing their teaching skills. The students were guided on the structure of the lesson, types of activities, assessments used and how learning outcomes are defined and achieved.
Interactive sessions, live demonstrations and group activities were also conducted during the session.
Prof. Pankaj Shrivastava, Director CDOE presided over the function. While addressing the gathering, he focused on how this lecture would provide students practical strategies for classroom organizations, time management, student engagements & more focused and productive learning environment, thereby preparing them both for academic and professional challenges in Education.
The inaugural session concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Anuradha Goswami acknowledging the support given by Prof. Anupama Vohra, Dr Ankita sharma and Ms Anjela Gadroo and others to make the program, a grand success.
