DC Ramban reviews arrangements for Independence Day 2025 celebrations

RAMBAN, July 19: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the Independence Day 2025 celebrations in the district.
The meeting was attended by senior civil and police officers including SSP Kulbir Singh; SSP Traffic NHW Raja Adil Hamid; ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; ACR Skokat Hayat Mattoo; CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather and other district and sectoral officers.
It was decided that the district-level function will be held at the District Police Lines Grounds, where the Chief Guest would hoist the National Flag and inspect the Parade comprising contingents from JKP, IRP, CRPF, Home Guards, FPF and school students.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure all necessary arrangements well in time including seating, barricading, drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, fire safety, security, transport, traffic regulation, medical facilities including Ambulances and illumination of government buildings. He further instructed the district heads to ensure their presence along with all subordinate staff at the Independence Day celebration functions within their jurisdictions.
The DC outlined the celebration plan and emphasized the inclusion of the cultural performances, instructing the cultural committee to involve renowned and budding local artists to infuse the event with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the event, the DC constituted several committees, including the Cultural Programme Monitoring Committee and Reception Committee.
The SSP briefed about the security arrangements, assuring adequate deployment for the national event. SSP Traffic also presented the traffic management plan for ensuring smooth vehicular movement.
