Early Times Report
BHOPAL, July 19: Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of West Central Railway, Bhopal Division, Shri Debashish Tripathi, conducted an inspection of Sanchi and Vidisha stations on Saturday, July 19, reviewing safety, infrastructure, and passenger amenities. During the inspection, he closely examined the level crossings, waterlogging-prone areas, structures under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, and yard infrastructure.
In the first phase of the inspection, Shri Tripathi visited Level Crossing Gate No. 255, where he observed the gate's operational mechanism, alertness standards, and gate management system. He also interacted with the gateman on duty and took feedback about operational practices. Following this, he inspected Low Height Subway (RUB) No. 270, where complaints of waterlogging during monsoons had been reported. The DRM discussed the issue with engineering officials and deliberated on permanent drainage improvement measures, directing them to ensure timely and effective resolution.
In the next phase, Shri Tripathi inspected Sanchi Railway Station, which is being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He reviewed the progress of construction works and inspected facilities like platforms, waiting halls, toilets, booking counters, and other structures. He instructed that the construction works be completed with high quality and within the stipulated timeline.
At Vidisha station, the DRM conducted a detailed safety inspection. He thoroughly reviewed the condition of points, lines, tracks, and other yard components and ensured compliance with safety standards. Technical records related to track maintenance, including logbooks and daily monitoring reports, were also checked.
During the inspection, senior officials including Senior Divisional Engineer (Central) Shri K.K. Nigam, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Saurabh Kataria, and Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (General) Shri Sanjay Manoria were present.
After the inspection, Shri Tripathi directed all officers to give utmost priority to safety during the monsoon season and to ensure swift and effective completion of works related to drainage, track maintenance, and passenger amenities.
