JAMMU, July 19: Senior BJP leader and prominent businessman Rakesh Mahajan has been appointed as the Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir unit. The announcement has been received with great enthusiasm by party workers and supporters across the region.
In his message, Rakesh Mahajan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to BJP National President Shri JP Nadda, BJP National General Secretary and J&K Incharge Shri Tarun Chugh, J&K BJP President Shri Sat Sharma, and BJP General Secretary (Organization) Shri Ashok Koul for reposing faith in him and entrusting him with this important responsibility.
Hailing from Rajouri, Rakesh Mahajan has been a dedicated party worker for the past 25 years. With his strong ideological roots as a Sangh Swayamsevak, he has risen through the ranks, having twice served as General Secretary and twice as Vice President of BJP's Rajouri District Unit. In this capacity, he oversaw an extensive exercise across 11,838 booths, 256 Mandals in Jammu, 46 Mandals in Srinagar, and a total of 27 districts across both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
Rakesh Mahajan assured the leadership that he would continue to work with full dedication and remain aligned with the vision of the party. "As history stands witness, I have always fulfilled every responsibility entrusted to me by the party high command with sincerity and efficiency. I assure the leadership that I will continue to uphold the values and objectives of the BJP in my new role as well," he stated.
