| Army holds seminar on green governance | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 30- In its continuous endeavor to create ecological awareness amongst all ranks of the Indian Army, an ecology seminar “Indian Army and Green Governance” was organized on behalf of HQ Northern Command at Udhampur today. The seminar highlighted the role of the Indian Army in participative management and conservation of ecology all around the nation.
Brig GS Shergill, Cdr 71 Sub Area while inaugurating the seminar stressed upon the need for the armed forces to take a lead in educating themselves and then their respective communities towards environmental conservation.
The seminar witnessed informative and thought provoking discussion by Prof Shashi Kant and Dr Anil K Raina from Jammu University on ecological needs of the nation. The common thought process evolved from the seminar was the serve as a guide to the nation towards enabling a beautiful earth for the posterity.
