Kathua, July 21: The Department of Computer Applications under the aegis of IQAC, Government Degree College Marheen, organized a one-day workshop on the theme " E-Tendering: Understanding the" at the college campus. The programme was conducted under the patronage of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta. The primary objective of the workshop was to familiarize faculty members with the end-to-end e-Tendering process, online bid submission, and best practices for navigating the e-procurement portal. The technical session was led by Mr. Deepak Bajaj, Senior Software Developer from NIC, who covered key aspects such as an overview of e-procurement platforms, registration and login procedures, tender search and document download, online bid submission, bid security, common errors, and troubleshooting. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bajaj said, “E-tendering promotes fairness, competition, and efficiency. This workshop is a step toward ensuring that all stakeholders are equipped to participate in this digital transformation.” Faculty members from nine colleges of Kathua district actively participated in the workshop, including GDC Kathua, GCW Kathua, GDC Hiranagar, GDC Ghagwal, GDC Ramkot, GDC Billawar, GDC Basohli, GDC Mahanpur, and GDC Marheen. Following the technical session, participants engaged in hands-on demonstrations and interactive Q&A sessions, making the workshop practical and highly engaging. The programme concluded with a feedback session and distribution of participation certificates. Attendees appreciated the workshop’s informative content and expressed that it would significantly enhance their ability to handle digital procurement processes effectively.
