Jammu, July 21: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rohiin Chandan today hailed the transformative impact of the Modi government’s unwavering “Nation First” policy, which has propelled India to new heights on the global stage, establishing it as an emerging superpower. Chandan outlined the remarkable strides made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, emphasizing India’s journey from the 11th largest economy to the 4th largest, alongside advancements in defense, diplomacy, cultural heritage, and global influence. “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, India has undergone a paradigm shift, redefining its identity as a global superpower,” said Chandan. “The Nation First policy has been the cornerstone of this transformation, placing India’s interests at the forefront while fostering inclusive growth, robust defense capabilities, and a renewed focus on our rich heritage.” Chandan highlighted India’s economic ascent, noting that the country has climbed from the 11th to the 4th largest economy globally, driven by initiatives like “Make in India” and “Digital India.” These policies have attracted significant foreign investment and bolstered sectors such as manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure. “This economic leap reflects the Modi government’s commitment to creating a self-reliant and prosperous India,” he added. On the defense front, Chandan pointed to India’s advancements from “Yoga to Brahmos,” symbolizing the blend of cultural soft power and cutting-edge military technology. The successful development and export of the Brahmos missile underscore India’s growing defense prowess, while initiatives promoting yoga globally have elevated India’s cultural influence. Chandan also referenced key strategic operations, such as the resolute stance during the 2017 Doklam standoff with China and Operation Sindoor, as testaments to India’s strengthened national security framework under Modi’s leadership. In global diplomacy, the Modi government has prioritized strategic partnerships through platforms like QUAD, I2U2, and G20, positioning India as a pivotal player in shaping international policies. Chandan emphasized the shift from SAARC to BIMSTEC, which has enhanced regional cooperation with like-minded nations, fostering economic and security collaboration. “From QUAD to G20, India’s voice is now heard with respect and authority on the global stage,” he stated. Chandan also underscored the Modi government's commitment to balancing development with heritage preservation, highlighting the revitalization of cultural sites and promotion of ancient traditions in India, fostering a modern, culturally vibrant nation. As the BJP continues to champion the Nation First policy, Chandan called upon citizens to support the government’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047. “This is not just a policy but a movement to restore India’s rightful place as a global leader,” he concluded. |
