Jammu, July 21- Dr. Vivak Manohar Arya, an eminent professor and proud son of the soil, was honoured for his outstanding contributions in the fields of soil science, climate change, and natural resource management at SKUAST-Jammu by a prestigious award by the Honourable Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Shri Devvrat Ji in a mega event organised by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K, commemorating the 200th birth anniversary of Arya Samaj founder Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji and the 150th foundation day of Arya Samaj. The event took place at the Baba Jitto Auditorium, SKUAST-Jammu, and was graced by the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha Ji on first day. The occasion was further dignified by the presence of Prof. B.N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu; Hon’ble Member of Parliament Shri Jugal Kishore; MLA Shri Arvind Gupta; Sh Shakti Pathak IPS, Mahnat Rohit Shastri Miss Devyaani Rana and other distinguished guests. The programme was conducted under the leadership of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K President, Shri Narendra Trehan, with support from Vinay Arya (General Secretary, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Delhi), Rajive Sethi (General Secretary), Yogesh Gupta (Treasurer), Ranvijay Shastri, Mukesh Shastri, Chain Lal Shastri, Dr. Satyapriya, Dr. Priyanka, Kuldeep Gupta, and Senior Vice President Arun Kumar Gupta. Dr. Arya is currently leading several prestigious research projects funded by agencies such as the DBT-GoI, JKST&IC, ICAR, and NABARD. His innovations include patents for a Waste Sorting Robot and an AI-driven system for integrated agriculture–aquaculture management. |
